ആര്യ എന്ന നിഷ് കളങ്ക യായ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥിനിയെ പൈശാചികമായി കൊല ചെയ്ത നരാധമനെ കാല താമസം ഇല്ലാതെ കണ്ടു പിടിച്ചു അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്ത വെഞ്ഞാറമൂട്  പോലീസ് ഇന്‍സ്പെക്ടര്‍ ബിജുവും സംഘാന്ഗങ്ങളും അഭിനന്ദനം അര്‍ഹിക്കുന്നു. വേണം എന്ന് വച്ചാല്‍ പോലീസിനു കള്ളനെ പിടിക്കാം എന്നാണു ഇത് തെളിയിക്കുന്നത്. ഉന്നതാ ധികാരികളുടെയും ബാഹ്യ ശക്തികളുടെയും ഇടപെടലുകള്‍ ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നത് കൊണ്ടാണ് ഇത് സാധ്യം ആയതു എന്ന് എല്ലാവര്ക്കും അറിയാം. കൊലപാതകിക്കു എന്തെങ്കിലും രാഷ്ടീയ ബന്ധം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എങ്കില്‍ പിടി കൊടുക്കാതെ പിടി കിട്ടാപ്പുള്ളി ആയി പോലീസിന്റെ കണ്‍  മുന്നില്‍ പ്രതി വിരാജിച്ചേനെ. പക്ഷെ ആത്മാര്‍ഥത ഉള്ള ജോലിയോട് കൂറ്  ഉള്ള ഒരു കൂട്ടം ആളുകള്‍ ഇപ്പോഴും പോലീസില്‍ ഉണ്ടെന്നു ഇതില്‍ നിന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കാം. 

സമൂഹത്തോട് പ്രതിബദ്ധത ഉള്ള ഇത്തരം പോലീസുകാരെ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തി കുറ്റാന്വേഷണത്തിന് മാത്രമായി ഒരു പ്രത്യേക വിഭാഗം രൂപീകരിക്കേണ്ടത് അത്യാവശ്യം ആയിരിക്കുന്നു. ബാഹ്യ പ്രേരണ ക്ക് അതീതമായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുന്ന ഒരു വിഭാഗം. 

പോള്‍ മുത്തൂറ്റ് , സമ്പത്ത് വധ ക്കേസുകള്‍ പോലെ പോലീസ് സേനക്ക് നാണക്കേട്‌ വരുത്താതെ കുറ്റവാളികളെ ഉടന്‍ കണ്ടു പിടിച്ചു നിയമത്തിനു മുന്നില്‍ കൊണ്ടു വരാന്‍ ഇവര്‍ക്ക് കഴിയും. 

രാഷ്ട്രീയ ഗുണ്ടായിസവും അധികാര പ്രമത്തതയും കുറ്റ കൃത്യങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മറയായി അധിക നാള്‍ നില്‍ക്കില്ല എന്ന സന്ദേശം ആണല്ലോ 2  ജി   സ്പെക്ട്രും കേസില്‍ മന്ത്രി ഉള്‍പ്പടെ ഉന്നതര്‍ അഴികള്‍ക്കുള്ളിലായതിലൂടെ നമുക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്നത്. കാലത്തിനൊത്ത് മാറേണ്ട സമയം അതിക്രമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു  കേരള പോലീസിന്.

Kerala Derails

Kerala got what it deserved in the railway budget. There was no serious effort on the part of the authorities to prioritise our requirement and no concerted attempt to get things done. Everybody presents his own agenda and gets satisfied with the deceptive ‘surveys’ offered by Railways. Sadly the government and the elected representatives are not at all serious about railway development.

When the basic need of doubling and electrification of the railway lines in Kerala could not be ensured even after decades they are talking about high speed railway corridor and bullet trains. That is our fate.

Trivandrum Metro Rail

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation in its feasibility report rejected Metro rail in
Thiruvannahtapuram on the reason that Peak Hour Peak Direction Trips in the
year 2030 will be less than 8000 when even upto 20000 can be handled by
dedicated bus lines. That was 6 years back in 2006. The 16 k.m.
Kazhakkoottam-Tvm suburban rail was also termed as not viable as the cost will
be around Rs.1600 Crores. As it was DMRC under E. Sreedharan everybody accepted
the study report.

Then came the mono rail proposal and NATPAC found it feasible. All hailed it
as the most suitable with Rs. 150 crores per kilometre. Now comes the proposal
for PRT (personal Rapid Trasport). There is no dearth for proposals and as each proposal comes people are
ecstatic and hail it. May be the huge investment and resultant kickbacks prompt
the authorities to come up with new proposals every day. Actual problems and
basic requirements to overcome the real issues are not analysed or addressed.

Instead new projects are brought in. The much hyped Thakarapparambu fly over is still in the paper after 10 years and this shows the attitude of the authorities. An
existing road was demolished to construct an underpass at Palayam forcing each vehicle to travel 800 meters more wasting fuel, shows the faulty planning and foolish approach.

The mono rail and PRT will be on an elevated plain above the present roads. This
will put and end to road development permanently. No more fly overs will be
possible on the roads ever. Further, mono rail will not cater to the needs of
the future say about 30 years or so and city will again be suffocating. So the
new proposals for mono rail and PRT are not at all suited for a developing
city like Trivandrum and it will retard its further growth.

What we need is not any stop-gap or temporary arrangement but a permanent solution.Metro rail, without disturbing the road traffic is the ultimate remedy. As the cost is increasing day by day sooner the better.  Fly overs from Pattom to PMG,
Kesavadasapuram to Ulloor, Ayurveda College to Attakulangara will ease the
congestion considerably. Public transport system is to be strengthened.

Kalyan Jewellery

An aircraft costing Rs. 30 crores for the personal use of the owners of Kalyan Jewellers! For shuttling between their jewellery shops in different cities. 

2.5 crore rupees the annual maintenance cost.

  Where from they got this money to buy the aircraft? Not from their pocket. Obviously at the cost of their customers. So how much profit they are taking while selling the ornaments. 

പണിക്കൂലി വേണ്ട.പണി കുറവ് വേണ്ട. സ്വര്‍ണത്തിന്റെ വില മാത്രം മതി. എന്ത് സ്നേഹം ജനങ്ങളോട് ? കോടികള്‍ വിലയുള്ള ഷോ റൂമുകള്‍. കോടികളുടെ ആസ്തി. രാജകീയ ജീവിതം. ഇതാ കറങ്ങി നടക്കാന്‍ വിമാനവും. എവിടെ നിന്നാണീ പണം വരുന്നത്? സ്വര്‍ണത്തിന്റെ തിളക്കത്തില്‍ മതി മറക്കുന്നവരെ നമ്മെ വിഡ്ഢികള്‍ ആക്കുകയാണീ ജൂവലറി കള്‍. 

സത്യ സന്ധത, ആത്മാര്‍ഥത ഇതൊക്കെ ആണ് തങ്ങളുടെ വിജയത്തിന്റെ കാരണങ്ങള്‍ എന്ന്  ആണ് എല്ലാ കച്ചവടക്കാരും പറയുന്ന വാചകങ്ങള്‍. അത് രണ്ടും ഉള്ള ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരാള്‍ രക്ഷ പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ? സ്വര്‍ണ കടകളുടെ പരസ്യത്തിലും മോഹ വലയത്തിലും വീഴാതിരിക്കുക.   

Sukumar Azhikkod

സുകുമാര്‍ അഴീക്കോട്‌  ദിവംഗതന്‍ ആയി.   അര്‍ഹതപ്പെട്ടതില്‍   അധികം ആദരവ്  നല്‍കി മലയാളികള്‍ നശിപ്പിച്ച ഒരു വ്യക്തിത്വം. അതിന്റെ അല്പ്പത്തരവും  ധാര്‍ഷ്ട്യവും അദ്ദേഹം പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ആശുപത്രി കിടക്കയില്‍ പ്പോലും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് മലയാളികള്‍ സ്വസ്ഥത നല്‍കിയില്ല. മോഹന്‍ലാല്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പടെയുള്ള പൂര്‍വ കാല വൈരികള്‍ അവിടെയുംശല്യപ്പെടുത്തി. 

അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവിന് എങ്കിലും  നിത്യശാന്തി നേരാം.

CBI

CBI wants autonomy and get rid of Home Ministry control to have fair investigation free from external influence.

In the present Lok Pal bill, in corruption cases, CBI is to do the investigation based on the preliminary inquiry report by the Lok Pal. CBI does not like this as they feel it as playing second fiddle. This is a wrong perception. Since they are getting the reports from Lok Pal there cannot be any external influence in their investigation and they are nearing their goal of autonomy. The time limit for completion also should not worry them as it is quite possible in the absence of any external pressure.

Ayodhya-Babri masjid

Supreme Court remark that "what is famous about" Babri Masjid demolition and “that was an incident" "not famous or infamous" is a blow to the religious fundamentalists who have blown it out of proportion all these years to create communal disharmony in India

Political parties also have done their part in raking up this at every election to exploit the vote bank. Every body has forgotten it and no more worried about it. But thousands of miles away from Ayodhya, in Kerala, anniversary of the incident is celebrated even today after 20 years. What a shame?
