CHRISTIAN STATE?

When the world is growing to a non-religious conglomerate and Kerala youth trying to shed communalism and casteism, the Christian church is creating an exclusive territory for Christians inside Kerala. Syro-Malabar church is going to construct a township in Thiruvananthapuram exclusively for their members. A state inside a State solely for Christians.

The Changanassery Arch Bishop Mar Joseph Perumthottam has announced that only their church members will be allowed to own property there. The township will have school, college, hospital, shops and all other facilities solely for the dwellers and it will be a self contained township for the Christians. If things go like this, it is quite possible that members of other communities will not have any access to the township and they may not even be allowed to enter. The people inside will be secluded from rest of Kerala.

This is a dangerous trend and threat to the secular nature of India. This type of activity will definitely spoil the communal harmony prevalent in Kerala. Other communities may also go for similar communal townships and ultimately Kerala will be full of such religious communes. As of the princely states in India prevalent pre-independence these religious communes will go for independent security measures and even think of own army one day.  This divisive mentality and communalism are to be nipped in the bud.

Is it not anti-constitutional and anti-national?
